QB conundrum, Rodgers, Wilson, or Freeman?

Asked: QB conundrum, Rodgers, Wilson, or Freeman?

I have a question that I though I would never ask.
I have three QBs on my roster (a very stacked team, so I don't need the space)
Those three QBs are:
Josh Freeman, Russel Wilson, and Aaron Rodgers.
-
Without question, A-Rod is the best. But his fantasy output has been pretty disappointing as of late.
Meanwhile, Freeman is taking on the disheveled Eagles, and Wilson has been a fantasy machine (26 points against the Bears).
-
This is my first season in fantasy football, and I made the playoffs.
A-Rod has frustrated me throughout (2nd overall pick, Started every week but bye, when Freeman filled in)
-
Matchup, Freeman has the best one.
Opposing QB stats against Eagles since they fired Juan Castillo: 116-of-152 (76.3%) for 1,319 yards (8.68 YPA), 16 TDs, 0 INTs
Skill, Rodgers, without question.
But Wilson is on a hot streak after lighting up "Da Bears".
Should I make the switch to the hot Wilson? The fortunate Freeman? Or stick with the struggling superstar?
-
I don't know much about the scoring in my league, but I'm pretty sure it's standard points and non-ppr.

Tips for fantasy football?

Asked: Tips for fantasy football?

Just wanted to share some advice for fantasy football.

#1 – Dont start players based on their name. Just because its a big name does not mean its an automatic start. Perfect example is Calvin Johnson last night. I bet 95% of people started him. But they should have known that Charles Tillman would cover him. And Tillman can easily shut him down because hes done that many times before. You need to look at the mathups. Do not start RB's who are playing teams like Bears, Vikings, Patriots…Good run defenses will stop good RB's, no matter how good they are. Same with WR and QB's. Do not start them against good pass defenses. People often start players without even looking at what team they are playing against, thats a big mistake.

#2 – Try getting a QB and a WR from the same team. This is the most overlooked trick in fantasy football. And it is very effective. You can pick up double points on the same play when you have a QB and WR from the same team. Example: If you have Aaron Rogers and Jordy Nelson. When Rogers throws a 50 yards TD to Nelson you will get credit for Rogers 50 passing yards and his TD and you will also get Nelsons 50 receiving yards and his TD. You got credit for 2 TDs when in reality there was only really one TD scored.

#3 – Do NOT start 2 WR's from the same team. This is always a bad idea. If you happen to have Roddy White and Julio Jones, both from the Falcons and you start both of them there is no way they will both have good games at the same time. When one guy does good its because the other guy is not getting any receptions. Its almost impossible for both players to have alot of receptions, yards and TD's in the same game.

#4 – Kickers are more important than you think. A good kicker can you get you some much needed points. Most people do not care about kickers. But they are important at times. Try and get kickers on teams that do not have good offenses. Teams that have trouble scoring TD's usually rely on field goals for points, that means more points for their kicker.

#5 – Always check your team on Sunday morning. Make sure nobody is listed as "Injured" or "Questionable". The last thing you want to do is start a player who does not play. Thats a quick zero points and that will hurt. Even if you think the player "might" play, do not start him. Because even if he plays he will not play at 100% and its just not worth the risk.

#6 – Team defenses dont always mean the best overall defense. Turnovers are the key to team defense in fantasy leagues. Even if a team gives up 30 points you can still get good points out of them if they get a couple INTs, a fumble or two, and some sacks. The Patriots are a good example of this. They put up decent fantasy points even though their defense is not good in reality. Because they get sacks and tunrovers which equals points in fantasy leagues.

#7 – The single most important position in fantasy football is ALWAYS RB. Make sure you stock up on RB's. They get hurt often but you need to have them. If you have a "Flex" spot on your roster you always want to put a starting RB in that position. A starting RB will usually get more points than a random WR.

Hope this helped. Anyone else have some tips for fantasy football?

Fantasy Football Help! RG3?

Asked: Fantasy Football Help! RG3?

Hi, I am in a standard fantasy football league with 8 teams. I need help, as Cam Newton is QB and he hasn't been living up to my expectations. Another manager has Eli Manning and RG3, but he hasn't started RG3 one time this season. This is frustrating as I would love to have him, but he always declines trades. I would like to trade him Cam Newton for RG3, as he never starts him. This is my roster:
QB Andrew Luck (Ind – QB)
WR Wes Welker (NE – WR)
WR Jordy Nelson (GB – WR)
RB Rashad Jennings (Jac – RB)
RB Michael Turner (Atl – RB)
TE Antonio Gates (SD – TE)
W/R/T Dez Bryant (Dal – WR)
K Stephen Gostkowski (NE – K)
DEF San Diego (SD – DEF)
BN Rashard Mendenhall (Pit – RB)
BN Cam Newton (Car – QB)
BN Kyle Rudolph (Min – TE)
BN Ray Rice (Bal – RB)
BN Danny Amendola (StL – WR)
BN Baltimore (Bal – DEF)

By the way, Ravens are on a bye week, which is why I'm sitting them. Here is his roster:
QB Eli Manning (NYG – QB)
WR Hakeem Nicks (NYG – WR)
WR Marques Colston (NO – WR)
RB Matt Forte (Chi – RB)
RB Willis McGahee (Den – RB)
TE Aaron Hernandez (NE – TE)
W/R/T Ryan Mathews (SD – RB)
K Mason Crosby (GB – K)
DEF Chicago (Chi – DEF)
BN Trent Richardson (Cle – RB)
BN Randall Cobb (GB – WR)
BN Owen Daniels (Hou – TE)
BN Michael Crabtree (SF – WR)
BN Robert Griffin III (Was – QB)
BN Greg Jennings (GB – WR)

Let me know if you have any advice on a trade for RG3, or just any advice in general.
P.S. This is my first year, so if my roster isn't that good, that's my excuse icon smile Fantasy Football Help! RG3?
THANKS!
