Is this fair? Fantasy football Commissioner Help?

John Asked: Is this fair? Fantasy football Commissioner Help?

I'm the commissioner of my fantasy league. It's an 8 man keeper league on yahoo. We have 3 people who are all good friends and seem to have a problem with anything i do. I feel like there's been attitude there since it started but now other people are starting to notice it too and it's making others uncomfortable.
I have tried to be a fair commish. I post and notify of everything. I'm responsive when someone has a problem. I have it set so the managers vote to veto.
Anyway, the other day I proposed a trade of drew brees, steelers D, and my 15th round for Jimmy Graham and next years 1st. It was accepted and those guys ganged up and vetoed it. They were the only ones to vote against it. They then proposed trades to each other, literally trading thier entire teams and picks for next year, immediately after posting a message about how my trade was unfair and basically accusing me of cheating by "sacrificing this year for an obvious advantage next year" (I'm 0-4 btw, I gotta think If I was cheating I'd be doing better than that). Also, it should be noted that all three of them were together when our online draft took place, and then made really suspicious trades amongst each other right after. (Like one guy loaded up on WR's then traded most of them away for 1 RB from the other guy, who coincidentally drafted all RBs and no WRs…)

Is my trade a fair strategy, or is it in fact cheating like they seem to think?
Would I be a jerk, for changing the trade review rules? It seems like it will now be impossible for anyone to get a trade passed, unless one of those guys are benefiting.
Should I just kick them out all together?

Your trade is fair.I would not only change the trade review rules but introduce penalties for collusion as well, citing what you've listed here.Penalties could be something like loss of draft picks.

If you are in a keeper league, then you have to expect these types of trades to happen.
Sacrificing one year to gain help next year is what you are supposed to do when you are out of the race.

You can't change the league voting rules now though, you just don't play with them next year.

Yep.It sucks being the Commish. You try to keep everything above board and some jerk still accuses you of cheating.
I don't think your trade was unfair.I also don't think that what they did (WR for RB trade) was unfair either.
I suggest you change your veto rules.A veto would require a majority vote of those players not involved in the trade.Since it is an 8 team league and most trades involve 2 teams, that means that 4 of the remaining 6 would have to vote to veto a trade.Even if your 3 guys stick together, they would still have to recruit one more normal person to veto a trade.
