Overall? No. Dystopia is a pretty narrow niche. But it is the "in" thing right now, just like Twilight made vampires all the rage a couple of years ago.Soon something else will rise up and take its place.

Dystopia seems to be becoming popular, but fantasy is a *huge* genre. I would even kind of say dystopia seems to be a subgenre of fantasy. I don't think it will replace fantasy, because it is fantasy, in a way.

It seems to be getting that way.I like both, but the wave of Dystopian started by the Hunger Games doesn't seem to offer up anything unique, as it's just everyone striving the be THG.If you want good dystopian, look a few years back, before this all started. The Supernaturalist, by Eoin Colfer, is one of my favorites.

It is not evidence because Dr. Wambach could have ulterior motives (fame and fortune) or is biased on the subject. If she had real evidence, other scientists would use it to further understand the phenomenon. I'm sure there is a scientific explanation but it probably has more to do with human psychology that reincarnation. While I don't completely discount alternatives to death being the end, I don't think there is a human alive who knows anything about it because of the lack of real evidence. Until real evidence surfaces on something after death, the field is wide open for crack pots and opportunists.
