For example, Flacco's stats against the steelers: 300 yds, 1 td, 1 lost fumble, 0 rushing yds…he's totaled out to 14 points. He was sacked for a loss of 11 yds though. Does he not lose 1.1 points because of that?

No minus points for sacks, only fumbles and interceptions

He will only lose points if he is rushing and loses yards. If he is standing in the pocket, or is scrambling to make a pass, it is a sack, and goes down as no loss.

It depends on your league's scoring system. You would have to look up your league's scoring and settings to see if you lose points for a sack.
