Asked: Fantasy Baseball Newbie: Can you tell me what I need to improve on my mock draft?

I've played fantasy football for years, but trying fantasy baseball this year. I'm not too familiar with all the players, or exactly what I should be lookinf for when drafting them. My online research gave me tips on what positions to target early: starting pitchers, 3rd basemen, 2nd basemen, then SS…. and gave me tiers to work with.

I have been mock drafting but without feedback I'm not sure I'm doing well or need to change something. I've been prioritizing getting elite players for SP and infield, and waiting on OF, but a lot of people seem to put a lot of emphasis on OF for some reason.

I've also drafted player who are eligible for a position I need, even though they don't really play there that much. For example, if I need a 2nd baseman, I've been drafting a guy eligible for 2nd base even though he's really a SS, because he's the better player than any 2nd basemen on the board. Does this mean I can get points for him in my 2nd base slot all year even if he lines up at SS on those games?

Excluding age, what is the fantasy team you'd like to have for 1 year to be the ultimate team? Any player you want in the current league can be on your team. And you can play whatever offense or defense you want. If you want 5 receivers and no running back, it's your funeral but go ahead. Here's mine.

QB – Tom Brady (I don't even like him because his team is always so good but he's the ultimate playoff winner)
RB – Of course AP
RB – Arian Foster
WR – Megatron of course
WR – Brandon Marshall – this guy just flat out catches the football
TE – Gronk (just stay healthy please)

I do not understand the concept of fantasy football (I'm a girl, of course.) What's the point? Do you play? Do you bet on others when they play? How do you form a league?

It's a standard league. Cobb has been pretty reliable so I will probably start him. Reggie has been disappointing me lately and Dez still has a broken finger. Who will put up more points?

I am currently in a league that pays out 30% of the money to the team that has the "most points". Should this include the playoffs or just the regular season?

I have made up my own little family in my mind, my husband and kids and pets, and where we live. I've even found the perfect house through online real estate. I constantly think about them and write little stories about them. I feel like I rarely am in the real world. I just wish for the life so badly that I'm not paying attention to my actual one. I'm a 16 year old girl. My mom is kind of emotionally abusive and I feel like I have some sort of disorder. Because she doesn't really say things anymore but whenever she does say things, I get really upset and take a lot of offense to it. I hate myself with all my heart; I think I'm ugly and dumb and annoying and awkward. I'm scared I'll never get my masters and find the job I want and find a husband and adopt 3 kids and find the perfect house in the perfect city.
Why am I so obsessed with this fantasy world?
